The Office of the Commissioner of Communications – Digital Security Authority (DSA), in collaboration with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), organized the "Cyber Incident Responder" training course. The course took place at the ICT Academy - Office of the Commissioner of Communications, from June 16 to 19, 2026.
There were participants from ten (10) different countries, including civilian and military personnel from EU Member States, EU institutions, and agencies. The participants held roles related to incident response in cyberspace or aimed to enhance their knowledge in the field, while also taking part in a hands-on exercise focused on applying theoretical knowledge to realistic scenarios.
The course was designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to analyze, assess, and mitigate the impact of cybersecurity incidents, as well as to identify the root causes and malicious actors behind them. Participants exchanged views and shared best practices regarding Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs).
